Seeking Carpenters Helpers to work on a project in South Setauket, NY. Duties may include but not limited to framing, finish work, installing doors, assisting a lead carpenter and reading blueprints. Position Responsibilities: Constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, metal stud, and wallboard Rough Carpentry: Assisting in installing framing, forms, blocking, backing, decking, doors, windows and siding Trim/Finish Carpentry: Assisting in installing baseboard/staircase/standard trim/custom trim, crown molding, architectural finish packages, and quarter round trim, millwork Framing Carpentry: Assisting in installing metal and wood framing and roof truss components, some following blue prints and schematics, using hand and electric tools to cut and fabricate and install frame work components Qualifications OSHA 10 Certification Previous commercial construction or carpentry experience Ability to work 40 hours a week Be able to work over time if needed Strong references that will support your work history
