On location AV production & streaming in 2022

In 2022, the rebirth of our previously 15+ year established (and killed by covid) recording studio will be offering on location recording, filming and live streaming. Since Covid killed everything in 2020 -- especially the music industry -- we have been steadily rebuilding. The music industry isn't dead... it's just severely injured. We all know it. It's obscene to spend so much time and money on recordings that you are 75% happy with how they sound... and will make maybe $500 from the $4,000 that you spent... on top of the months of production, mixing and mastering. It's obscene to play 3 hour shows for $25-100 a band member. That's not the way things should be. Seriously... what's the point of you playing live and recording? Is it to take IG photos and put as many hashtags in as possible so that random strangers can write "DM FOR PROMO"? That's really cool. We wish you luck in becoming as successful and famous as Kanye via IG photos and videos... and we hope you enjoy having to fill your car's gas tank at 4am in Wyoming like Kanye after decades of insanity. Sounds like a REAL blast. BACK IN REALITY... For the rest of us musicians/engineers... playing music live and recording has become a burden and a chore. Venues don't pay shit. Everyone is on their cell phone getting bombed from $8 beers... and the "venue" (i.e. bar) is making over $10,000 and paying each band member $25-$100 for 3 hour gigs, not including transportation. We believe there is another way to creative AV, whether it only audio or video or streaming as well... and while Covid has most definitely sucked balls... there have been silver linings. The silver lining for us is that we don't NEED or WANT to have a recording studio any longer. Scheduling sessions with any band is a nightmare. We all know it. Figuring out how much something is going to cost is impossible. We all know it. Every band member of every band is never 100% happy with the result. THESE ARE THINGS WE ALL KNOW, YET WE ACCEPT, EVEN THOUGH WE DON'T LIKE THEM. WHY? We are setting out to be the change. Ya know... Insert inspira-meme about "being the change." But, well... we mean it. It's a drag to spend so much time and money on recordings that end up OK. Coordinating schedules and spending ungodly amounts of time tracking/editing/mixing and ending up with shitty masters in the end from an online mastering robot or a local human in a bedroom. You find the venue (or ask us to suggest venues from our ever-growing database of businesses keen on helping musicians)... and we all show up, set up, and do our thing. It's pretty simple. This doesn't need to be so complex. Bands with tight songs, playing in a nice space through nice gear. We edit/mix/master or you edit/mix/master. Whatever you want. That's all for now.
