POSITION DESCRIPTION SUMMARY Under supervision, works on diverse range of activities involved in golf course maintenance and construction using equipment and tools as instructed, does semi-skilled grounds construction and maintenance work and performs related tasks as required. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES 1. Safely operates powered equipment in mowing golf course putting greens, slopes, collar, rough, aprons, and tees, etc. using the appropriate pieces of equipment. 2. Prepare sand bunkers for daily play by using appropriate equipment and procedures. 3. Perform daily checklist on each piece of equipment that is used each day. 4. Wash off, fill with fuel (if applicable), and return all equipment to their proper storage areas. 5. Waters and fertilizes putting greens, tees, fairways, and roughs as instructed. 6. Gradis and prepares a soil plant bed, lays sod, plants vegetative material, and seeds putting greens, tees, fairways, and roughs. 7. Changes cups on the greens and moves tee markers as instructed. 8. Maintains ball washers, water hazards, and bunkers. 9. Safely operates light equipment in hauling materials and removing debris. 10. Trims trees, prunes shrubbery, and cultivates shrubs and flowers as needed.
