looking for a real band

I’m looking for a real band to play with. Covers or Original, it doesn’t matter. I play Guitar, Piano and dabble on bass and drums. Steely Dan is my go to band. Love the 70s, but ironically I graduated HS in 2019, I’m what they call a “young punk”. I’m not joining any bands who don’t know theory. I played with a Raleigh Band who downtuned their guitars and basses by a whole step, and (mind you, their songs in D minor were now in C minor....) and NOT ONE of them could tell me what they were playing. It’s a whole step down. It was embarrassing to say the least....I was gone the next week. Doesn’t have to be complex, but know you music. If you have to teach me a song by telling me “just watch me hands” or “just look at my fingers”, I don’t want to join your “band”. I’ve been working on a song by Steely Dan called Kid Charlemagne. Verse goes: Am, G6, F6/9, Bb13. If that’s too complicated, this isn’t for you. I can read music (NOT SIGHT READ), I’m humble and willing to learn but not with lazy musicians. I respect just about any session musician who played with/for the Dan!
