Housekeeper in Ukranian Village Location: Ukranian Village: Chicago, IL 60612 Start Date: ASAP Schedule: 5 days/week 9:00am - 5:00pm (can be slightly flexible on schedule for right person) Pay Rate (pre-tax): FULL TIME M-F $850/WEEK Benefits: • 6 days of vacation per year, 3 days of sick time • 3 paid holidays (can be adjusted based on preference/beliefs) Couple in Ukranian Village is seeking a new Housekeeper. We treat our housekeeper with respect and kindness and as another member of the family. Our last housekeeper stayed for 5.5 years (retired), and the previous one for 17 years (retired), and we are seeking someone who is also looking for a long-term commitment (retiring housekeeper is available to train/orient you to the household and show everything with thorough training). Duties will include: • Daily maintenance (making beds/changing linens, dishes, dusting, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, emptying trashes, laundry, cleaning bathrooms, kitchen, living areas, bedrooms, etc.) • Deep cleaning • Organization • Some oversight of regular plant service and aquarium staff, yard assistant, etc. and as-needed contractors/vendors • Pet care: Family has a large aquarium (no assistance required), chickens, and goats; must be comfortable with pets • Cooking: occasional • Housesitting/pet sitting: occasional overnights as needed when we are out of town, particularly to care for the animals when employers are out of town (will be compensated extra) Candidates should be: • Detail-oriented, as the home is organized in every way possible • Proactive • Creative problem solver • Energetic and positive • COVID vaccinated and open to getting the booster if they have not yet already (couple is very careful) Employers welcome creativity - bring your ideas and thoughts for organization, efficiencies, systems, etc.! Home is 5,000 square feet with a large gated yard, state of the art camera/security system. Secure, gated parking with remote is also available. Breakfast, lunch, snacks and beverages are always available. Employers work full-time from home offices. Candidate must drive and be able to perform light errands if necessary. Background check required and looking for someone with 5-10 years experience working in high end homes. References are necessary.
