Roofing positions are available at a well-established (25yrs) family company in Glenside PA. Pay is Prevailing Wage Rate on public work/$30min on private. Systems Consists mostly of fully adhered Single Ply Carlisle roofs with 20 year warranty. No benefits, all the cash, on the books, you are paid weekly. 4 Day 40 hour weeks are a goal of the crew. OT is available when a job allows but not required. We are a GC and accomplish various kinds of work. This is a great opportunity for skilled Carpenters, roofer, contractors etc to consistently earn what they deserve. Mostly, you will be on a commercial roofing crew but as a GC we do as much work in house as our acquired talent allows. We have all the equipment and then some for construction from the ground up. Framing, drop ceilings, doors, painting, commercial flooring, demolition and alteration, etc in commercial facilities. There is room for advancement based on work ethic and skill. Any construction skill is greatly appreciated and should be included in your response. We are ideally looking for applicants that have been around construction of any kind their entire careers and are multi talented. We also need people who can labor and learn. Desirable skills: Skilled tradesmen, self employed contractors that want a consistent job, roofers, laying block, flat concrete work and forming, framers/carpenters, equipment operation skills but also a worker (backhoe, lull, forklift), demolition, laborer...basically construction workers. General Construction worker, as we see it, and the description of our best workers: -A person who shows up to work every time there is work, early, because they are reliable and leave with plenty of time for whatever may happen on the way to work. No call? No show? That is not a thing. Drama is not a thing at work. They stay busy and learn from crew members who know more. They want to make money, they want their company to make money, they want to do a good job every day. They get along with their crew. They depend on their crew and their crew depends on them. They have acquired skills or at least a strong work ethic they can fall back on when put in an unfamiliar situation to adapt. They take direction well but can think for themselves. They ask questions rather than do something incorrectly that will need to be fixed. They pull their weight. They make up for any lack of ability by being a very hard worker. They remain safe and aware, and keep their crew safe. All this is not easy, but they show up every day there is work(early). Requirements/deal breakers: -The willingness and ability to take and pass drug screening and basic background check. -You have a VALID drivers license, our insurance company will check them. -You have reliable transportation to get you to our shop or job -Willingness to travel sometimes. Our private work is in the King of Prussia/DELCO area, our rate work can cover about a 200 mile radius. Our Shop is in 19038. Per diem and a room for those who want to stay if the drive is deemed too long from where you live. The furthest job i know of this year is East Stroudsburg. The rest is local. -You are Fully Vaccinated for Covid We need some local people to connect our shop to the job. Many of our workers are not local. A shop truck leaves almost every day so a ride is usually available. Most our workers drive themselves to the site. Jobs are available from entry level to top field workers.
