Pasco Laret Suiter & Associates, Inc has immediate openings for a Chainman with 0-2+ years of experience in land surveying. In business for over 35 years, PLSA is a growing, medium sized Civil Engineering firm with 3 offices in San Diego and Orange Counties. Our firm focuses on land development and land planning of commercial, residential & mixed-use projects throughout Southern California. We offer a dynamic, team-oriented environment where we strive to provide the highest level of service for clients that include private landowners, developers, public agencies and schools while still maintaining a work/life balance for our employees.  A chainman works as a member of a field survey party under the guidance of a survey party chief. Duties may include assisting the survey party chief with the setting of precise locations and measurement of construction control lines, elevations, areas and contours for construction, topography, and monument recovery. Ability to read and write stakes accurately and legibly. Duties also include equipment maintenance. This is an entry level position. Surveying experience is preferred; relatable construction experience will be considered. Minimum qualifications for the position include:  Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record  Technically oriented and good communication skills  Ability to maintain a professional image and client anonymity  Comfortable working outdoors in variable weather conditions for extended periods of time  Ability to travel out of town as required and be able to work out of town on occasion on projects that may require overnight stay  Land survey, utility, or construction knowledge or interest in learning  Be 21 years or older, as this role may drive a company vehicle We offer an excellent benefits package including competitive base salary, performance bonuses, 100% employer paid health insurance, employer subsidized dental insurance, paid vacation and holidays, employer paid profit sharing retirement account, and 401(k) retirement accounts.
