Volunteers opportunities available for an elementary afterschool program! Aloha! Nā Liko, LLC is a local afterschool program operating at Aina Haina Elementary School. We currently have openings for volunteers to join our team to help us provide a safe, fun, and enriching program for our keiki! Volunteers typically assist with the daily duties, including homework help, leading/assisting with enrichment activities, and general supervision. This is a great way to gain experience working with elementary students! You will also receive a lot of training and work directly with the company founders and managers. College students are welcome and encouraged to apply, we will work with your schedule! Our program runs every school day from when school lets out until 5:30pm. (M, T, TH, F 2:00–5:30, W 1:15–5:30). Our program is built on years of experience. This is a great way to complete the volunteer hours for an education degree, and we have worked with and trained several successful College of Education students. Enrichment activities are provided and pre-planned, but we welcome activity ideas! Activities are planned around a monthly theme and include crafts, STEM, sports, community service projects, art, and life skill activities. If you would like to volunteer at our program please visit the “About” section of our website (www.NaLiko.com) and fill out a ‘Volunteer Application.’ The safety of our keiki is the top priority of our program, and, as a result, all applicants including volunteers are required to satisfactorily complete an interview and background check.
