Tom Oord, a theologian, philosopher, discusses the problem of evil: why is there​ evil if there is an all-good and all-powerful God? The Voices of Christian Faith series seeks to show the breadth and diversity of the Christian faith; to provide a space for the whole of the broad historic Christian faith to be witnessed rather than only one voice having the floor. Too often minority traditions within the Christian faith present themselves as the sole representatives of Christianity. The Voices of the Christian Faith speaking series seeks to remedy this by presenting the broad and diverse historical Christian faith in many of its different beliefs and practices. In this march we’re happy to present Tom Oord, a theologian, philosopher, and prolific author who provides one way to address the problem of evil: If God is All-Good and All-Powerful then why is there suffering and evil in the world? Speaking from his book God Can't and not shying from the hard questions he seeks to draw from the Christian Tradition and Scriptures to rethink the problem of evil.
