09 April, 2022

Description

Develop strategies for identifying artworks that can help build and extend student comprehension of texts. Join the Smithsonian American Art Museum’s team of educators for an in-person workshop session where we dig into the question: how do you choose artworks to pair with a text to deepen understanding? Deliberate together on what makes a good pairing, then head out into the galleries to get inspired and find “art-to-text" partners. This workshop is designed for educators of all grade levels and disciplines. Free | Registration required, space is limited. Note: This program may be held virtually pending evolving Smithsonian in-person event guidance. Additional details will be emailed to you the week prior to the event.
