Expectant parents will learn about physiological and emotional changes that occur during pregnancy and birth. Expectant parents will learn about physiological and emotional changes that occur during pregnancy and birth. The class covers labor and delivery, cesarean sections, breathing techniques, anesthesia and analgesia, exercise, relaxation techniques, breastfeeding and baby care. It also includes various tools for coping with discomforts of labor. Location: Aiken Regional, Sixth Floor Classrooms A and B The class is free to ARMC patients only. You only need to register for the Saturday class to register for the following Sunday, as well. Date and Time: Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Aiken Regional Medical Centers, located in Aiken, South Carolina, opened its doors in 1917 as the Aiken Hospital and Relief Society. Today, the hospital is a 273-bed acute care facility offering a comprehensive range of specialties and services. Physicians are on the medical staff of Aiken Regional Medical Centers, but, with limited exceptions, are independent practitioners who are not employees or agents of Aiken Regional Medical Centers.
