We are a licensed commercial cannabis grow facility. We are seeking a full-time assistant production manager in our facility. We strive to produce high quality cannabis and have an outstanding record and reputation in our industry. Essential Functions 1. Focus on quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas of work production. Work to continuously improve in all areas. 2. Continue to improve managerial abilities in or to increase subordinates' skills and capabilities. 3. Monitor all expenses incurred for the cultivation. Develop and control labor budget. 4. Review job tasks and goals with operations on a regular basis. 5. Continually review with cultivation to create cost saving measures and/or ideas to improve quality and service. 6. Stay current with new technologies and trends in the industry and effectively communicate this to all operations leaders. 7. Secure tools, equipment and employees as needed to allow them to effectively perform their job tasks. 8. Monitor quality of all goods produced at facilities as directed. 9. Maintain healthy relationships with neighboring community, customers, vendor's competitors and co-workers. Competencies 1. Leadership. 2. Supervisory Responsibility This position manages all employees of the department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. The position might require long hours to meet production needs. Required Education and Experience 1. 3-5 years of experience in and complete knowledge of greenhouse and nursery industry. 2. Working knowledge of horticulture and plant production, and trimming techniques. 3. Technology savvy and ability to provide insight into advancing processes. 3 to 5 years in a managerial role, cannabis industry experience required.
