Job description Ranch hand / handyman position available. Great opportunity for the person who loves working outdoors on a ranch with horses and other animals. Position Summary: Under direct supervision of the Property Manager, assist in the maintenance and development of the property. This includes landscaping, seasonal weed eating, light carpentry, daily and weekly cleaning of horse stalls, all work and established areas, vehicle cleaning and maintenance, brush clearing, removal of old infrastructure such as fences, and more. Duties & Responsibilities: The major responsibilities of the position may include, but are not limited to: Maintaining grounds / landscaping Cleaning of stalls Maintaining building exteriors Performing light carpentry, painting, etc. Completing other maintenance and grounds projects as assigned Minimum Job Requirements: Ability to work with others and also independently with minimal supervision Knowledge of basic construction, general repairs, painting, electrical, plumbing, and irrigation Be organized, efficient and respectful towards people, animals, and property Good attendance record Valid California Driver's license and clean driving record Must have dependable transportation Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs Ability to work outside year-round, including in inclement weather Ability to use light equipment and power tools safely Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality and privacy Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks Patience and a good sense of humor with the ability to adapt to frequent changes in projects and priorities Be legal to work in the United States Experience: Must have 2+ years of experience as a ranch hand / handyman with a strong work ethic and a desire to learn.
