Carpenter Assistant Needed Job Summary Please email Resume Responsible for assisting carpenters and furniture makers in the shop and on job sites with various tasks, including Produce and assemble components Perform final touch ups with sandpaper and steel wool as well as reinforced joints with nails or fasteners Verify dimensions, cut materials accurately and check the quality for fit to ensure adherence to specifications Ensure high level of safety precautions throughout project as well as maintaining a clean work area Display good communication skills with all contractor and subcontractors in the field or in the shop. Prepare minor paperwork in conjunction with office personnel. Promptly deliver construction supplies to appropriate jobsites, clients or vendors in a timely manner. Operate manual and electrical battery operated tools on construction site or in shop Gather materials for workers to handle on job sites. Assist with Installing trim and cabinets. Unload materials from trucks. (must be able to lift at least 90 lbs without limitations)
