A wonderful holiday experience for all ages that benefits children in need. The 28th Annual Winter Wonderland is welcoming visitors from all over the Tampa Bay area. Join us nightly December 15th to the 23rd from 6pm - 9pm across the street from 133 North Fort Harrison Avenue. No cost to attend, but guests are encouraged to bring a new toy or non-perishable food item for families in need. To help keep families safe, there are six hand sanitizer stations throughout Winter Wonderland and masks are available for any who wish to wear one. The event is sponsored by the Clearwater Community Volunteers (CCV) and the Church of Scientology. Clearwater Community Volunteers (CCV) is a non-profit, charitable organization made up entirely of volunteers and was founded by parishioners of the Church of Scientology in Clearwater. My name is Amber Skjelset (pronounced "shell set") and I am the Manager of the Scientology Information Center.  The Scientology Information Center is a community center where people from all religious backgrounds, and all beliefs can come together through the arts, business interaction through networking or visit to get answers to questions about Scientology and what Scientologists believe.  I organize events, functions and meetings in the center as well as schedule and book tours of the Scientology Information Center housed in the Historic Bank of Clearwater and the six adjacent humanitarian centers that the Church supports which cover drug education, human rights, criminal reform to name a few.  The Scientology Information Center, celebrating its first anniversary (opened on July 11th, 2015), has hosted over 90 community events including piano concerts for the International Day of Happiness, Earth Day, and Mother’s Day and has welcomed over 10,000 visitors through its doors.  The Church of Scientology works with like-minded non-profit organizations to provide support, resources, and assistance to help them better serve the community. One of the ways this is accomplished is through bi-monthly complimentary events which provide a platform for them to network and build new contacts, and educational information for different aspects of need that these organizations face.  If you would like to attend an upcoming event or find out more about the center please contact me at (727) 467-6966 or [email protected].
