Fascinated by the art form, Charles signed up for a Hip-Hop class at a local gym and hasn’t stopped dancing since. With dance coming naturally to him, Charles jumped right into professional training in styles such as poppin’, lockin’, house, waacking, breaking, street jazz, and hip hop. He has had the pleasure to train under such renowned industry names as Alicia Keys choreographer Luam, and other choreographers such as Tanisha Scott, Rhapsody, and Brian Nicholson. He has performed nationally and internationally in some of the most popular live and recorded shows, including “NBA All Star Game” with Arianna Grande, “EPura Commercial” with the latin artist Thalia, “Saturday Night Live” Cuban Christmas episode, and “Latino Night Celebration” at Madison Square Garden. From music videos such as MTV: For Fun to Dance Flick on television, Charles has done just about everything. Charles is currently teaching and choreographing in the New York area and training at Broadway Dance Center and several other studios. Charles’ Brazilian heritage continues to influence his dancing as his passion drives him to pursue his professional dance career in New York City and Los Angeles. Sara PerezSara Perez has been training in dance for a little over 14 years now with her roots heavily based in Ballet,Modern, Jazz and Tap. Sara ventured off to more LA based styles such as Hip Hop, Heels, Jazz funk, etc back in 2015. The following year she stumbled across the Latin social dance scene which lead to the revolution in her dance journey. She's been in love with Salsa, Bachata, Zouk and Kizomba ever since she encountered each of the dance styles and continues her training as both a student and teacher. Sara has been working and performing professionally since 2016 with larger companies such as Disneyland Resort, Royals Caribbean Cruise Lines and Tokyo Disney Resort which brought her the opportunities to perform worldwide.Brad MecciaBrad Meccia is the founder and head instructor at Armada Zouk Dance LLC, Knoxville’s longest running zouk company. Armada Zouk currently features 4 hours of weekly classes which includes 4 levels of social dancing classes and weekly socials as well as instructing weekly classes in Asheville, NC.   He has trained throughout the US and Brazil, where his time training with Renata Peçanha helped to develop his Rio Zouk style.  In addition to Rio Style, Brad has completed a NeoZouk techniques instructor certification with Marco “Mafie Zouker” Mendonça and the Master Braz ELITE Certificate Course.  Outside of dance, Brad received a PhD in biomedical engineering with a focus in biomechanics. This provides unique insights into movement of the body which allow his instruction to really break down the biomechanics of different motions on a joint-by-joint and muscle-by-muscle basis. Over 10+ years of teaching experience. I have performed, competed, choreographed, and organized salsa and bachata events throughout the US. Come learn to dance with me!
