Woman Killed In Crash On Jericho Turnpike: Nassau Police

OLD WESTBURY, NY — A woman was killed in a car crash in Old Westbury Sunday night after her vehicle was struck by a teenager. According to police, at 10:39 p.m., the 30-year-old woman was turning her 2009 Chevy Impala out of Westbury Manor, located at 1100 Jericho Turnpike, to go east on Jericho Turnpike, when she was hit by a 2016 BMW driven by an 18-year-old man, which was driving east on Jericho Turnpike. The woman suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by a police medic. The driver of the BMW was taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Police have not yet released the woman's name. The investigation is ongoing.
