BRIGHTON, MA — Police are asking commuters to seek an alternative route after a water main break in Brighton has shut down a busy street in both directions. Tremont Street, which runs parallel to Washington Street and connects to it at the rotary is shut down until further notice while crews work to repair the water main break.
