STAFFORD COUNTY, VA — A man was stabbed on Friday in Stafford County, the sheriff's office said. His roommate, a 31-year-old woman, was arrested after deputies accused her of stabbing the victim. The incident was reported to authorities around 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 10. At that time, deputies responded to the Lusterleaf Court in the Villages of Aquia. The original report described a "disturbance with a stabbing." The victim called 9-1-1 and was waiting outside the apartment when deputies arrived on the scene. He had a significant laceration on his arm and several cuts on his hands, police said. The victim's injuries were not considered life-threatening, according to the sheriff's office. Paramedics on the scene tended to the victim's wounds while deputies began their investigation. Deputies said they found the suspect, 31-year-old Chardai Majors, in the apartment she shares with the victim. After conducting interviews on the scene and collecting evidence, Majors was charged with one count of malicious wounding and one count of assault and battery. She was originally held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $2,000 bond. There are a number of resources available to victims of domestic abuse in Virginia.
