Description

The Bay Area Street Pantry needs volunteers to help distribute food to the hungry in Oakland, CA. We have been operating the Bay Area Street Pantry since 2019 and continue to give 100+ bags of groceries to people every week. We held our 3rd annual turkey giveaway this November and we're gearing up for our 2nd annual toy giveaway for the holidays. Volunteer needs: At the location- >We need volunteers on Tuesdays from 10am-11:30am to help set up and pack bags to be handed out. >We need volunteers on Tuesdays from 11:30am-1pm to handout bags of food to the community. We typically finish by about 12pm. Drivers needed- >We need drivers on Tuesdays from 9:45am-10:15am to pick-up food with us and help delivery it to the Melrose Library in Oakland. A reliable car is necessary for this. >We also need drivers to coordinate with us to do food funs throughout the week. We typically try to do this on Monday or Friday. Please let us know what day(s) and times you would be available to help with this.
