WOODBRIDGE, NJ — Woodbridge Township is not experiencing the home break-in spree that Highland Park is currently experiencing this December, according to Woodbridge Police Director Robert Hubner.
"We have had some motor vehicle burglaries and have made a number of arrests," said Hubner. "We have found that the majority of vehicle burglaries were to unlocked cars."
The car break-ins have taken place in all sections of the Township throughout the past year, he said.
Always lock your cars and don't leave valuables in your vehicle.
Just down the road, Highland Park Police they have seen a spree of home and car break-ins in the months of November and December. Just last Tuesday morning, Highland Park Police arrested a 23-year-old man from Texas who they said was walking down the street carrying a chainsaw and a box of power tools.
Police stopped him, questioned him and the man admitted that he broke into a home and stole the power tools, said police. He was arrested and charged with theft. Read that story: Highland Park Experiencing A String Of Burglaries
