Press release from the City of San Antonio: December 3, 2021 CONTACT: [email protected] Cleo Garcia SAN ANTONIO (December 3, 2021) – To ensure that everyone who wants to receive a COVID-19 vaccine has access to get one, Metro Health is informing residents on weekly pop-up vaccination clinics and strongly encourages residents to use face masks at vaccination events. This is a good time to get your flu vaccine. National Influenza Vaccination Week is Dec. 5-11, and all Metro Health pop-up clinics, except the Alamodome, offer the Flu vaccine at no cost. It is available to anyone 6 months and older. Below is a list of upcoming pop-up clinic locations for the week of December 4 – 11. All clinics listed now offer the Pfizer vaccine for children, ages 5 and older, as well as booster shots for all eligible adults 18 years and older. All eligible residents are urged to get a COVID-19 vaccine and booster ahead of the holidays, especially with the emergence of the Omicron variant. While no cases of this variant have been detected in San Antonio to date, this is good time to get vaccinated to make sure you have some level of protection against the Delta and Omicron variants. Metro Health $100 gift cards are available only at Metro Health-sponsored pop-up clinics and at the Alamodome while supplies last. Only those participants who complete their initial vaccination series of the Pfizer, Moderna or the one dose J&J at a Metro Health pop-up clinic are eligible.
