Description

In 2020, the surge of need made the headlines as carlines stretched for a mile to reach the GRACE food and supply distribution. Despite businesses and schools reopening in 2021, the rate of food and financial insecurity has remained the same in Summit, NJ. For the past 12 months GRACE has served an average of 425 households each week. Families go to the Cornog Field House at Memorial Field every Thursday evening for produce, milk, eggs, bathroom tissue, period supplies, household cleaners, diapers, and seasonal gear. The offerings are consistent in quantity, quality, and assortment each week, becoming a reliable resource in an unpredictable time. This is a costly but important undertaking. Luckily, a local family will generously underwrite a week of GRACE's fresh food and supply distribution for $5,000. There's a catch: GRACE needs to raise an additional $5,000 from the community. This family will match, dollar for dollar up to $5,000, all donations made through December 31, 2021. Grace is fully funded by grants, in-kind services, and community donations. Each gift to GRACE enables its impact in Summit. For more information and to donate before year end, please visit https://www.gracegivingreceivi...
