***Up to a $500 Hiring Bonus!*** We are looking for someone in the Parts Clerk position. This person will assist the Shop Foreman and Mechanics with the procurement of parts and maintenance of part inventories used in the repair and maintenance of trucks, machinery, and equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Calls vendors for proper vehicle parts and pricing. Issues, or receives purchase orders from the RTA Maintenance System. Obtains parts from various vendors and shop inventory, as needed. Receives parts and inspects for quality and accuracy. Ensures timely distribution to the shop in accordance with the maintenance schedule. Performs part cycle counts daily/weekly/monthly, as necessary. Tracks parts used on equipment and repairs. Returns unused parts back to their physical bin locations. Coordinate part and part core returns to vendors. Completes daily task list to include cleaning and organizing of shop parts, supplies, tools, equipment, and general shop cleaning. Provides assistance to Foreman, Mechanics, and other employees, as needed. Follows all safety rules and regulations and practices preventive safety measures; wears required PPE. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Excellent attendance and punctuality. Ability to comply with all safety regulations and practices preventative safety measures. Experience with gas and diesel vehicles and equipment preferred.
