Press release from the Community Unit School District 200: 2021-12-13 The first day of school is Wednesday, August 17, 2022 for grades 1–12 and Transition. The first day of school for students at Jefferson and in kindergarten is Thursday, August 18, 2022. Thanksgiving Recess is Monday, November 21 — Friday, November 25, 2022. Winter Break is Friday, December 23, 2022 — Monday, January 9, 2023. Spring Break is Monday, March 27 — Friday, March 31, 2023. Graduation is Saturday, May 27, 2023. The last day of school for all grades is Wednesday, May 31, 2023. The first day of school is Wednesday, August 16, 2023 for grades 1–12 and Transition. The first day of school for students at Jefferson and in kindergarten is Thursday, August 17, 2023. Thanksgiving Recess is Monday, November 20 — Friday, November 24, 2023. Winter Break is Monday, December 25, 2022 — Monday, January 8, 2024. Spring Break is Monday, March 25 — Friday, March 29, 2024. Graduation is Saturday, May 25, 2023. The last day of school for all grades is Friday, May 24, 2024. Based on feedback collected in preparation for the current calendar, in the new calendars, finals and/or summative assessments will take place before Winter Break.
