Description

Press release from the Guilford County Government: 12/13/2021 As we move through the holiday season it is important to be aware of resources at your disposal. We've already discussed NAMI Guilford as a valuable resource. This week it's Mental Health Greensboro (MHG). Mental Health Greensboro has support groups that provide confidential, comfortable environments for people to share their problems, learn new information, have meaningful discussions, and better manage their issues. MHG offers several peer-led self-help support groups which do not require preregistration and are free of charge. They also co-facilitate the Women's Emotional Wellness group along with the Women's Resource Center of Greensboro. Contact MHG at 336-373-1402 to learn more about what support groups are offered, to figure out which group is the right fit for you, and to get information about support group locations and parking. All of our groups are peer-led by trained facilitators who have a diagnosis or experience with the group's focus. These groups provide a welcoming, supportive environment where you can be yourself without fear of stigma or judgment, and a place where you don't feel alone. Remember a compilation of all tips, resources, and articles will be available on www.guilfordcareinmind.com. This press release was produced by the Guilford County Government.
