Here are the top stories in Grand Rapids today: A fire on Saturday at a Ridgewood Apartments complex in the 2100 block of Woodburn Drive has left an apartment building uninhabitable. High winds made it difficult for firefighters to control the fire and after it was put out, all 36 units in the building were deemed as not fit for occupation. No residents were injured, however, three people with GRFD were injured. (WOODTV.com)A tiger fell ill at a Grand Rapids zoo after it tested positive for COVID-19. Officials at the John Ball Zoo say the 16-year-old female Amur tiger named Nika is currently doing well as her health continues to improve. The tiger was due to receive its second COVID-19 vaccination shot on the day it became ill.
