Did You See Puppy/Dog Abandoned? Stolen Puppy?

Description
A larger sized 4-6 month old puppy was abandoned today, completely unsecured in Travers Ridge parking lot, with a pile of his things. They did not even bother to put his harness on (left at the scene in a pile with his other things) to make it easier for good samaritans to rescue him, and at that location with this weather that was incredibly dangerous. If you saw this puppy being abandoned, or know anything about a missing puppy with two different color eyes, please call HSHV as they will be investigating or contact me and I will pass it along. My sister and her neighbor spotted the puppy and were able to gain his trust and get him inside, and get him to HSHV where I'm sure he will find a happy new home. He was thankfully unharmed. Just a reminder to everyone as well to keep your eyes peeled for pets being abandoned. I also wanted to make this post in case this puppy was abandoned by someone other than the owner, as the way he was abandoned seemed at odds with other things about him. He was nervous, but also playful and cuddly, like someone in his life had previously played and cuddled with him, and my sister reports he knew commands, and his items appeared to be higher quality and new. It's only 8 more minutes drive to HSHV, so it's just very weird. So if you have a 4-6 month old puppy that has one blue eye, is very tall for such a young pup, and looks like perhaps an Irish Wolfhound mix, and was stolen or something, call HSHV. TO ANYONE WHO CAN NO LONGER PROVIDE A HOME FOR A DOG- Please just take your dog to HSHV where they can find a loving new family! If you can't get there, I think they will even come pick up. If you MUST abandon the pet, do so in good weather in a populated area, and SECURE the dog, and put a large sign indicating no one is coming back for the dog. When dogs become fearful (such as when being separated from an owner) many will go into survival mode and go hide in the nearest woodsy area (a death sentence for many dogs in this weather) or start running around frantically, such as into oncoming traffic. If this dog had only been secured with a sign like "FREE DOG" by the doors to the apartment, the risk to this little guy would have been mitigated. I digress, I just think this is so infuriating and weird.
