Maintenance Technician Serenity Mesa Recovery Center is a recovery center located in Albuquerque, NM, under the ownership and direction of Healing Addiction in our Community (HAC), a New Mexico non-profit corporation. Residents (age 14-21) enter this program after completing a residential treatment program for the purpose of ongoing therapy, support, education, and transitional services. The Maintenance Technician works with the Director of Facilities and the Facilities Manager to ensure the overall maintenance, safety, and security of the Serenity Mesa property. Essential Job Functions: • Perform basic maintenance on SM property to include but is not limited to dry wall repair, paint touch up, trim repair, A/C and furnace maintenance, tile repair, roof repair. Replace lightbulbs, doorknobs, doors, plumbing fixtures as needed • Maintain gardens and landscaping as required to include planting and irrigation • Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance room and livestock areas • Basic janitorial duties ________________________________________ Essential Requirements (Education, Licensing, Experience) Highest education level: High school diploma or equivalent required: some college a plus ______________________________________________________________________________ Essential Physical Abilities Have full range of body motion Stand for extended periods of time Able to push, pull, reach, bend, stretch Lift and carry up to 100 lbs when necessary ________________________________________ Work Environment The work of this position is performed in an environmentally controlled residential facility as well as outdoors in the elements during all four seasons of the year.
