Description
Did you know one of the top fears of executive leaders is "imposter syndrome"? The term was coined by clinical psychologists Pauline Clance and Suzanne Imes in the late 1970s to describe the feeling of "phoniness in people who believe that they are not intelligent, capable or creative despite evidence of high achievement.” And it's not only executive leaders who can feel that way. Anyone can experience that fear - the fear of people finding out "I'm a fraud." According to an article published by the American Psychological Association, 70% of people will experience imposter syndrome at some point. Even the great poet Maya Angelou felt that way, saying, "I have written 11 books but each time I think ‘Uh-oh, they’re going to find out now. I’ve run a game on everybody, and they’re going to find me out.’" There are ways to alleviate those feelings of "imposter syndrome" - to be eased of those thoughts that you're a phony. We can help you find victory over fear - all types of fear. We will start offering ONLINE group life coaching classes early next year. Contact me for more information.
