In search of a heavy equipment and truck mechanic/laborer to support operations in the company's yard facility. Requirements: • At least 1 year or applicable experience working on heavy equipment and trucks Valid driver's license • CDL-A or B license a plus Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Skills as a small tools/equipment and vehicle mechanic. Experience with vehicle diagnostics/troubleshooting and problem-solving. Fueling the trucks, checking the oil, Welding skills & checking Brakes etc... • Yard/Shop labor work expected. Assist Yard manager to maintain yard cleanliness. The position could involve standing, walking, reaching, lifting, bending, crouching, climbing, pushing, pulling and sitting for long periods of time throughout the day. •Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds •Exposed to cold weather in the winter and hot weather in the summer •Excellent attention to detail •Good verbal/written communication skills • Able to lift up to 75 lbs • Safety conscious • Excellent attendance and punctual Part time & Fulltime positions available fax resume to 516-827-7659 or email post.
