Business Done Better is a chapter based membership organization with monthly events, combined with a full business solution center. RSVP HERE ******** https://businessdonebetter.org/ftlaud/ ******** • There is a specific format to run these events, if it is your first time it can be confusing, but if you listen carefully and follow directions, we promise it is tons of fun and you will leave with so many new contacts and a smile! • Please arrive on time; this is very important, as we cannot add anyone into the speed networking once we have begun, though late arrivals are welcome to wait until open networking towards the end of the event. • Please do not leave early or get up in the middle of the speed networking for any reason. This portion ideally runs for roughly an hour towards the beginning of the evening; please do whatever you need to do so that the networking formation is not interrupted. This includes grabbing cards from your car, using the restroom, ordering food/drink, etc. If you cannot stay for the open portion at the end of the evening that is no problem, this only applies to the hour of actual speed networking. • You will always sit in between the same people the entire time - if this changes, something went wrong and please speak up, as this should not be the case. • You will only speak to each person one time during the networking formation - it may look like you are skipping people, but trust the format, it works! • Listen carefully to the announcements - one side speaks first, then the other side to ensure equal opportunity to speak. There is a brief announcement to switch sides, and then a second continual announcement to instruct everyone to stand up and move to the next seat. There might also be a 10-second warning as each person's speaking window is wrapping up. • Please move quickly to the next seat - we get to spend more time getting to know each new partner if everyone can move quickly to their new seat between rounds! • Please bring PHYSICAL BUSINESS CARDS - we love digital cards also, but they do not work for this format. Even if you get $10 same-day-printing cards from Office Depot, please bring something physical with your contact info on it to hand to each person - there is not enough time for people to take a picture of something or scan your QR code during the rounds - trust us! We have designed these events in a specific way for a reason; trust the system and we promise you will get so much value by attending! There will be plenty of time to connect with everyone you found interesting in the last hour of the event where you can speak at leisure.
