Seat of our Pants Affectionately known as SOOP, Seat of Our Pants has propelled to the forefront of the Connecticut roots music scene with their heartfelt and humorous songs. From sellout shows at The Buttonwood Tree, to the grand stage at Mohegan Sun’s Wolf Den, to Podunk Bluegrass Festival, SOOP is reaching across the state with their unique mix of instruments. The distinct all-American tone of the Appalachian mountain dulcimer, the visual intrigue of the electric upright bass, the energetic beat of the cajon, the impeccable intricate harmonies, and the melodic play of the fiddle and guitar distinguish Connecticut’s one-of-a-kind SOOP. Their cornucopia of folk instruments and rock-infused songwriting are a contagiously fun experience. Kate Callahan American Folk Singer - Songwriter Noel Paul Stookey of Peter Paul and Mary described Kate Callahan as "Zen-like." Kate is Connecticut's 16th State Troubadour, and one of the most awarded singer-songwriters in her home state. She gives a concert of soulful, optimistic and uplifting original music plus songs by Leonard Cohen, and Bob Dylan. Callahan has shared stages with songwriter legends Judy Collins, Noel Paul Stookey (Peter, Paul & Mary), the late Bill Morrissey, Aztec Two Step, and Regina Spektor. She is unapologetically optimistic in concert, singing original songs about the Earth, gratitude, marriage, love, and spirit. Eric Rabasca Eric wears a lot of hats in his music career. He is the leader of The Light Warriors and recently opened for John Batiste in Stamford. He is also the founder of Highest Frequency Records. As a Producer, Musician, Songwriter, and collaborator in several projects covering a variety of styles from singer/songwriter, rock, reggae, hip hop and experimental/improvisational music Eric is guaranteed to entertain our audience. The Olde Church Acoustic Series is a celebration of music created and performed by Connecticut's finest singers and songwriters. A relentless promoter of CT's renowned local music, the series was founded by Mike Wilcox in 2016 and has been hosted in Meriden since 2020.
