Description

Start your New Year off with deep healing in feminine community. We will sing, stretch, shake, and dance ourselves back to wellness. Did you grow up in a spiritual community that you no longer feel connected to? We all crave the feeling of coming together, as a group. It fills a deep need within us to gather. When we step away from unfulfilling spiritual community, we also lose access to the replenishing energy we can only get by being together with groups of people. Regardless of your spiritual background, we all need to come together to sing, dance, touch, and connect. We need each other. It's so vulnerable to face how needy we are. It is time to challenge this fear, and lean into being together again. We have access to immense inner power when we come together to sing, shout, move, and meditate together. It is through accessing the magic of the body in communal practice that we can cultivate deep healing from the trauma we have all sustained over these last few years. All bodies and religious backgrounds are welcome! Our event will begin with the opportunity to receive one-on-one personal blessing and nourishing touch through hand massage. The workshop will open with performances and group led singing by Chelsea Smith, Kady Goings, and Julie and Aaron Davidson. Think : Adele, Joseph, The Beatles, and Dua Lipa sing along. Next, Jenny Wade, LMHC + RYT, and Jen Oato Bennett, RYT, will co-lead a FUN all-levels dance yoga class that is healing to body/mind/heart. No dance or yoga experience necessary - we are coming together to move our bodies in fiercely non-competitive celebration to have fun and release stagnation and trauma! We will end with an extended savasana with the option for massage. Post workshop, we will provide listening stations if you'd like to receive the gift of whole hearted presence. Masks are required throughout the event. Proof of vaccination and ID are required for attendence and will be checked at the door. Jenny's passion is to help people reclaim the bodies that are clouded by shame and disgust. As a yoga teacher and licensed psychotherapist, she teaches the individuals she works with to deveop a deep trust in their body and inner voice in order to help them be more engaged and connected to their lives.
