Join Street Corner Resources at the Grand Opening on our new space The Peace Plex. Street Corner Resources is working diligently to reshape the lives of young people and help them stay away from violence and other destructive behavior. We believe in changing community norms around the use of violence. This means engaging the high-risk population by means that will expand their vision of themselves. Giving them opportunities to learn, develop and grow will help change the trajectory of their lives in a positive way. We created this space for young people can explore a variety of career opportunities, develop entrepreneurial interests, and develop skills that will help transform their lives. This space will be an important component of our Cure Violence program. We envision it as an incubator for new ideas and activities for our participants. In this new Safe Space, we envision a tech lab, music studio, self-defense, fashion, designing, sewing, printing station, meditation, and a lounge area with a green wall. Our young people will be able to learn and create here. Street Corner Resource's mission is to help young people by providing greater access to real employment, education, training opportunities, and other resources to improve their lives and stay away from gun and gang violence. Iesha encourages the use of innovative methods to challenge youth to improve their lives.
