Join Women Who Whiskey Los Angeles for this blind tasting: our first! Westland American Single Malt Whiskey out of Seattle is one of the pioneers of Single Malt American Whiskey. At 10 years old, Westland's new Flagship ASMW expression has been getting incredible accolades: Chairman’s Trophy, World’s Top 100 Spirits, and 96 points from Paul Pacult’s Ultimate Spirit Challenge. As part of this wave of recognition for the category, Westland Distillery is launching a campaign to put their money where their mouth is, so to speak. They've created a blind tasting for consumers which has been programmed by whiskey authority Dave Broom -- author of Whiskey: The Manual. This tasting, known as Judgement of Westland, puts the brand's Flagship expression up against three other world-renowned Single Malts from Scotland, India, and Australia in a randomized blind tasting. On Wednesday, December 15, Regional Distillery Ambassador Marshall Altier will lead Women Who Whiskey Los Angeles members and guests through the Judgment of Westland on the Culver City patio of Hatchet Hall, which specializes in traditional American cuisine. The evening, which includes appetizers, will conclude with a Westland Masterclass featuring core expressions including the highly allocated/limited Colere!
