Description
Folks - This is an effort to find an appropriate person for an unusual (maybe historical) Oil painting I have of a young couple. They appear to be dressed in costumes, as for in a play or drama. I bought it years ago because it had a a very romantic looking appeal. But a friend commented that the male in the painting looked like Prince Albert. If it is Prince Albert then the lady ( painted idealistically in profile) is most likely to be Victoria. Please judge for yourself - I'd be happy to send you photos of images to compare taken during their lifetime. The frame appears to be carved and original measuring approx. 29X32.. The work is signed and dated 1885 - looks kinda dark, probably needs cleaning. Nonetheless, it would make a great, unique gift for the right appreciative person. It looks good even as a merely decorative painting.
