WE HAVE A HARD LIMIT OF 75 SKATERS, SO YOU MUST REGISTER TO ATTEND AS A SKATER. -- About Us: Welcome to the Atlanta Trans Social Group! We're a diverse group of trans people who believe in equality for all genders, so we welcome all members of the transgender, non-binary, and crossdresser community. You can join us and be yourself, free from judgement and harassment. We live and express our gender authentically in public, even if just for the night, and we hope you'll join us. Our Mission: Our mission is to provide a welcoming, supportive, and safe environment for all transgender people to participate fully in life in public spaces. We strive to live our lives freely and openly, out and proud, to empower all transgender people to do the same. We believe that all LGBTQ people deserve to live a life of freedom and opportunity, without shame, harassment, or discrimination. Visibility is our activism, and living authentically is our goal. What we do: We meet for monthly dinners and special events to provide opportunities for transgender people to meet one another and socialize in public while living authentically and presenting our true selves to the world. We patronize both mainstream and LGBTQ venues and restaurants, and frequently go out dancing or to local bars after dinner. Whether it's your first time out presenting authentically in public or you transitioned years ago, we invite you to come for community and mutual support. If you're nervous about attending for the first time, we can connect you with a big sister/brother/friend to help you gather your courage. There's safety in our numbers, and we always make sure that the venues we chose are both welcoming and safe. Code of Conduct: This meetup group is dedicated to providing an empowering experience for everyone who participates in and supports our community. Because we value the safety and security of our members and strive to have an inclusive community, we do not tolerate harassment of members or event participants in any form. We have created a Code of Conduct to clearly define what we mean by a harassment-free experience, so that our community and those who support it are clear about our intent and have access to procedures for addressing issues, should they arise. Our code of conduct can be found here:https://www.meetup.com/atlantatgs/pages/25432629/Code_of_Conduct/
