The Illustrious Ancestors features multi-instrumentalist/urban griot John Kruth (TriBeCastan, Hal Willner) on voice, 🔥ELECTRIC MANDOLIN🔥FLUTE 💥ELECTRIC SITAR, harmonica, and💥BULBAL TARANG (Indian keyed zither), with Willie Aron (The Balancing Act, Syd Straw, Thee Holy Brothers) on💥 KEYBOARD, 💥GUITAR and VOICE, Joel Martin ( Pearl) on ⚡PEDAL STEEL GUITAR⚡, BASSIST Dave Soyars DRUMMER Perry Ostrin. Blending their own funky brand of Americana roots with interstellar “Country and Eastern” jams (that blend pedal steel guitar and sitar!) the Illustrious Ancestors freely skip from songs to Kruth’s spell-binding and often hilarious stories to funky, prodigious instrumental improvisation.
