Today I was feeding a small cat community and a new one showed up. It is chubby and frightened. I know it had a home by the size alone. On the back end the cat looks like a raccoon, circular stripped tail, and around the face small angular tufts of hair stick straight out. It is with wild cats and very uncomfortable but in a safe place. We feed twice daily. This is a large cat weighing at least 14 pounds or more and must have gotten out of a home. It responded to me and I was able to bring food. A feral would not be so friendly. The cat is tabby brown in markings, dark and light, and I actually thought it was a raccoon until it turned to face me. I'm with a 501c3 cat rescue in Clearwater/Countryside.
