Etegami is a Japanese Folk Art used to illustrate Postcards, letters and cards using Sumi Ink and watercolors.
Etegami is described as a Japanese Folk Art used illustrate postcards and letters. It is an art that gives Double Joy. First Joy is the one we have painting a design that doesn't have to be perfect to be beautiful. The Second Joy is the one experienced by the person receiving the card or letter.
In this workshop we will practice the use of Sumi ink in basic strokes to create whimsical designs on postcards, rice paper or cards. Watercolors are then used to add finishing touches and some words are added to convey a sentiment or just to make it fun!
The total cost of this workshop is $55.00 + tax. All materials are included.
Please note that due to Covid19, the use of face masks is required during the entire workshop.
