Description
I am an older musician who still feels like a teenager. Been playing both acoustic and electric guitar for decades, and am into a wide range of stuff, from Helter Skelter, hard rock, the blues, and William Ackerman's unique tuning beautiful instrumentals. I sing too, but in a low voice range.
I hope to find musicians with similar interests, to create a song list of 3 x 45 minute sets, for small gigs such as wineries, cafes, restaurants, parties, street busking, etc. Achieving this would involve practicing once a week, consistently, this means only persons with commitment, someone with the quality of dependability.
This can go either of two ways, or a mix of both, depending on who responds:
If it becomes an acoustic duo, I picture doing pleasant music, some alternate tunings, mixed with some soft popular rock, such as acoustic versions of Stevie Winwood, Beatles, Pink Floyd, Led Zepplin, some blues, and other songs that adjust nicely into acoustic, plus a few of our originals too.
If a drummer and bass player replies, it goes towards a 3 piece band, then it goes more electric guitar and a tight funky, grungy, getting down vibe, along the lines of T.Rex, Nirvana, Grand Funk Railroad, ZZ Top, James Gang, Creedence, etc. Also, I am open to suggestions.
If you feel similarly, and live anywhere in the Santa Cruz Mts, or anywhere from Los Gatos to to Santa Cruz, or south to Capitola, please text Nick at:
