Press release from the City of Champaign: December 12, 2021 On Dec. 11, 2021, at approximately 8:56 p.m., Champaign Police responded to the area of North 5th Street and East Bradley Avenue for reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers located more than 50 shell casings and were advised a 19-year-old male arrived at a local hospital by personal transport with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his left arm.
