Looking for pup

I've lost my partner-in-crime to canine old age. Though heartbroken at his loss I find I need a pup to fill the gap in my heart where he used to sit wagging his tail. I live in a small sugar mill era house with a 89 year old senior citizen so a SMALL but brainy pup is a must.
