Description

Private screening of "Abundance", a brilliant independent film by Amber J. Phillips & an intimate, live performance by DC's beloved BOOMscat What would it look and feel like to unapologetically embrace who we are? Self-love can be a radical act of healing for ourselves, our bodies, and our ancestors. Find inspiration from filmmaker Amber J. Phillips in her debut short film “Abundance.” Brought to us by Eaton’s Impact Director, Katie Petitt, this film is an autobiographical story that explores the journey of Amber embodying fatness, Blackness, and queerness in all its beauty and complexity. The film will be followed by an intimate, live show by DC's beloved BOOMscat band, who produced the film score. Their performance will create a sound that ignites vulnerability, elevation, and self-reflection.
