Description

Live Music at the Historic Canton Theatre in Downtown Canton The Historic Canton Theatre provides an intimate listening room experience featuring less than 200 seats. Constructed more than 100 years ago, this Theatre has hosted silent films, plays, and live music. Three local artists are coming together to present original songs and music on the historic Canton Theatre Stage for the first time. Greg Shaddix is an Americana artist Woodstock, Georgia, he is best know for The Mockingbird Podcast which features local and national songwriters. Greg got his start in the church his father in Alabama. Greg's songs are born through stories, lived or overheard somewhere unexpected. Jonathan Peyton is a singer/songwriter from Woodstock, Georgia. Jonathan writes emotion-evoking songs that tell a story and captivate audiences by their relatability and honesty. He says that “Writing music has become a way of processing through life and relating to others and their stories.” Cody Bolden is a singer-songwriter based in Canton, Georgia. He was raised between Alabama and Georgia, traveling between homes. Music seems to be in the background of all of Cody’s memories, from his Mom singing folk songs while cooking breakfast in the morning to his Dad’s radio always being on and dialed to an Outlaw Country station. When Cody decided to pick up a guitar and make music of his own, he found himself writing and performing songs about things that are important to him: bullshitting, bikes, and beer. Each act will perform for approximetly 1 hour. This event is presented by: GreenLine Brewery, Kell Hospitality and Vacations By Sally We look forward to a night of music set in a historic downtown theatre with you.
