Press release from the Summit Public Schools: 2021-12-10 Pre-Kindergarten Lottery Applications 2022-23 School Year Applications for the 2022-2023 Pre-Kindergarten Program are now available and may also be obtained in person at the Primary Centers and at the Office of Special Services during school hours. Please click here to download the application for the lottery. Prospective students must be residents of Summit, be toilet trained and be at least three years old by October 1, 2022. Students will be selected for this program by lottery. Pre-Kindergarten classes may include both three and four-year-old children at both Jefferson and Wilson Primary Centers. Classes will meet five days per week, Monday through Friday, except for one Friday per month which will be determined at a later date. The morning session is from 9 AM to 11:30 AM and the afternoon session is from 12:30 PM to 3 PM. The tuition is $4,200.00 per year. For those who qualify for reduced lunch according to U.S. government guidelines, tuition will be $1,260.00 per year and for those who qualify for free lunch, tuition will be $420.00 per year. All applications must be received by the Primary Centers no later than 4 PM on January 19, 2022. The lottery drawing will be livestreamed from the Board of Education office on January 20, 2022, at 10:00 AM. The link to watch the livestream will be available on the district website the day of the drawing. There will be no in person attendees. Special education students are included in the Preschool Program as determined by the District Child Study Team.
