Description
HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — The city of Havre de Grace was awarded $50,000 by the state for its Façade and Fit out Program in the Main Street District.
Funds will support exterior and interior upgrades to promote businesses in the downtown area.
The grant to benefit downtown Havre de Grace was among 56 projects funded through the Community Legacy program in designated Sustainable Communities throughout Maryland, which totaled $5.5 million.
"These projects and initiatives support responsible redevelopment that is driven by local partnerships," Gov. Larry Hogan said in a statement Friday about the grants. "Our state revitalization programs spur economic growth in Maryland's diverse and vibrant communities, attracting additional public, private, and nonprofit investment while improving quality of life for residents."
