Description
LavaLove® will host “Neighbors in Need” Christmas Party this Saturday, December 11, 2021, from 10 am – 6pm at the United Methodist Church in Morristown, NJ.
The FREE event is open to the entire Community and surrounding community with the purpose of raising awareness of homelessness and neighbors in need within the State of New Jersey. Guests can expect to experience a Christmas Party full of fun and community resources available to them including partners such of Atlantic Health, Salvation Army and Rutgers Law with visits from local and State legislators.
LavaLove® a 29-foot custom designed all-weather mobile hygiene shower trailer will make its debut in Morris County, Essex County and Mercer County providing access to clean, hot water and showers, along with medical, dental and optometry services to the unsheltered and sheltered homeless. The event will feature a “soft launch” of the upcoming planning ribbon-cutting ceremony for trailer in January 2021 with a guided tour of the trailer as well as how neighbors in need and the community can access services available to them. We encourage the community to come out and support their fellow neighbors over a hot meal, music and fun.
Guests will have access to community services such as housing vouchers, furniture vouchers, mental health services, chiropractor screenings, flu shots, medical appointments, employment services, legal services, veterans’ services and more.
Activities include music, photo booth, arts and crafts with a full hot dinner. Transportation has been arranged and provided for local area shelters and neighbors in need to attend.
