Our employees enjoy: • Mon-Fri work week / No Weekends or Holidays • PTO & Holidays on Day 1 • Benefits -- Medical, Vision, & Dental XGS dockworkers are responsible for loading and unloading freight by hand or by using a pallet jack, sorting product and ensuring that trailers are properly and accurately loaded. This position includes using a barcode scanner and helps to maintain the service center dock neat and orderly. *MUST HAVE 6 MOS Forklift Driving Experience* What the XGS Dock Worker will be doing... • Load and unload trailers. May load or unload by hand, or with freight handling tools such as lift truck, pallet jack, or side cart • Scan barcode on freight; ensure each freight movement is scanned for tracking to rack, floor or loading door • Verify shipping information from the scan unit to ensure freight is labeled to go to the correct destination • Attach barcodes to freight for tracking and routing • Report overage, shortages and damages according to operating procedures • Sort and segregate freight by destination. • Verify freight counts • Dock clean up as needed • May include other duties as assigned by Management What XGS is looking for in a qualified candidate... • High School or GED, desired • Must be at least 18 years of age, required • 6 mos operating forklift, required Schedule - Shift start: 12:00PM - Shift length: 4 - 5 hours - Days: Monday - Friday Requirements - Previous forklift experience required - Must have previous dock worker or similar experience - Must be at least 18+ years old - Must pass drug screen (cannabis included) - Must pass background check - Can lift 75 lbs About Xpress Global Systems XGS operates the largest independent, asset-based distribution network in the country that’s 100% dedicated to the flooring industry.
